Calculation of the nitrogen nqcc's in the anti-gauche conformer of 5-hexynenitrile was made on an approximate equilibrium molecular structure (~ re) derived ab
initio as described here. These nqcc's are
compared in Table 1 with the experimental values of Utzat et al. [1].
Structure parameters are given in Table 2, rotational constants in Table 3. |

Subscripts a,b,c refer to the principal axes of the inertia
tensor, subscripts x,y,z to the principal axes of the nqcc tensor. Øz,CN (degrees)
is the angle between the z-principal axis and the CN bond axis. ETA = (Xxx
- Xyy)/Xzz. |

|
|
RMS is the root mean square
difference between calculated and experimental nqcc's (percentage of
average experimental nqcc). RSD is the residual standard deviation
of calibration of the B3PW91/6-311+G(df,pd) model for calculation of
the nqcc's, which may be taken as an estimate of the uncertainty in the calculated nqcc's. |
